According to ICAO standard, High-Intensity Obstruction Lights can be divided into two types: Type A, B.
High-Intensity Type A Aviation Obstruction Light is a lamp with White, 2,000 cd (Night); 20,000 cd (Twilight); 200,000 cd (Daytime), flashing mode(40-60 times/min), all day working, installed on obstacles over 150 meters except for transmission tower.
High-Intensity Type B Aviation Obstruction Light is a lamp with white, 2,000 cd (Night); 20,000 cd (Twilight);100,000 cd (Daytime), flashing mode(40-60 times/min), all day working, only installed on transmission tower over 150 meters. It has stratified flashes(middle-top- bottom) to show the height of the tower and the suspended height of its hanging wires. As for details, please see table One:
